You’re not alone. Most people struggle with time management, feeling like there’s never enough time to do what matters most. This week, I’m excited to share a simple business tool – a Daily Bingo Action Card – that helps me find more productive balance and focus. And as always, there’s a recipe to sweeten the deal: Our Sweet Potato Casserole with a surprising twist.
Childhood Memories: The BINGO Connection:
The Bingo Card idea came from Lesson 23 of Og Mandino’s “University of Success,” but BINGO has always had a special place in my heart. Growing up, we played it every weekend at our cottager’s association – picking out prizes, sharing laughs, and enjoying the community spirit.
I’ve found that when you bring fun, inspiring activities into your business, you’re more likely to go the extra mile and enjoy the process too. It’s all about finding what works best for you and making small, daily tweaks to improve and grow. That’s the real work—refining how you show up every day to be better tomorrow than you were today.
How I Created My Bingo Card for Better Time Management:
Time management doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. It’s about finding what works for you and learning when to say yes or no. I created my Daily Bingo Action Card using my 90-day Focus Planner and identified five key categories with a list of activities to choose from:
- Branding & Positioning: Maintaining and refining brand presence (e.g., content creation, messaging, website updates).
- Initiating Connections: Activities that move my business forward (e.g., networking, following up with leads).
- Nurture Leads: Strengthening relationships and generating revenue (e.g., personalized follow-ups, sales conversations).
- Growth & Self-Care: Prioritizing well-being (e.g., hydration, nutrition, mindfulness, personal learning).
- Operations: The practical side of business (e.g., bookkeeping, organizing emails, project management).
How I Use the Bingo Card:
Each day, I tweak the card to focus on specific priorities. For example, Mondays are for tracking metrics, while Wednesdays focus on content creation. The flexibility of this system lets you tailor it to your needs – no cookie-cutter solutions here.
The goal is to begin checking off the squares as you get specific things done. Start out small with focus on 1 square from each of the 4 business activity columns.
I print my Bingo card daily and use a highlighter to check off tasks. While I’m gradually transitioning to digital tools, there’s something about the physical card that keeps me focused. Small steps like this lead to big wins in time management.

Here’s the Food Recipe:
This casserole combines savoury and sweet flavours, just like the perfect blend of tasks on your Bingo Action Card creates a balanced and fulfilling day. It’s surprising but perfectly balanced—just like good time management should be.
Sweet Potato Casserole with Peaches and Cashews
Ingredients
- 5 – 6 medium Sweet Potatoes, cut into 1 1/2“ chunks
- 1 cup cashews, chopped
- 1 large can sliced peaches or mangos, drained and cut into 1” chunks
- Maple syrup (enough to cover cashews in measuring cup)
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and chop them into 1 ½” chunks.
- With chopped cashews in a measuring cup, add enough maple syrup to cover cashews.
- Cut peaches into 1” chunks.
- Layer about ⅓ of the sweet potatoes, ⅓ of the peaches then sprinkle ⅓ of cashew mixture. Repeat 2 more times so that you finish off with the sprinkling of the cashew mixture.
Bake covered for 25 – 35 minutes at 350, until you reach desired firmness.
Time management doesn’t have to feel stressful. With a little balance, a flexible tool like the Bingo Action Card, and some reflection on what works best for you, you can create a system that’s both productive and enjoyable. And remember, when you integrate what inspires and excites you into your work, the process becomes much more fulfilling in the long run.
